Portrait And Commercial Photography

A portrait in art of photography is an artistic representation of a person
in which the face and its expressions are predominant. Even the recent
improvements in consumer photography market have not affected the passion of
people to have their portrait taken by a professional.

Beautiful pictures of expectant mothers, babies, family members, couples,
models, avant-garde portraits, headshots for business or portfolio and
uncategorized forms of portraits, all are being offered in and outside of
our studio in various locations.

In “Studio Ani” we give ourselves and our clients the possibility of
experiment, creativity and exchange of ideas. What is different between us
and other studios is the time and freedom that you get during a session at
“Studio Ani”. Here, in order to capture the best of your image, we try
different angels, lightning and poses until we take the best shot that
represents you in finest form and style. Not everyone enjoys and is
emotionally or physically ready for a photo shoot session. If you are
determined to do this, we take our time to assist you by bringing you to a
point where you will be happy by seeing the best possible results.

Creative portrait photography
After taking portrait photographs we also add special effects and styles to
a photo. These creative images can be used in your personal websites,
commercials or posters. Many people print and frame these artworks; others
use them for advertisements, artists use these images to enrich their
portfolio. Portrait effects are no longer constrained to vignettes or simple
stencil effects. This area has vertiginously evolved to an unbelievable
level of creativity and complexity. Since the settings, lights, clothing and
figures of a creative photo differ from regular portrait photos, make sure
to inform the photographer about your intention of having creative photos in
advance.

Khoren Sarkissian

Khoren Sarkissian was the co-founder of the original “Photo Ani” in 1975.
With the help of his son-in-law, George, they established a photo store in
Tehran.
His fluent language skills in Armenian, Persian, Turkish, English and some
Russian as well as great sense of communication skills in business were
great assets to start and develope a successful and trendy photo-video
production center which lead them to open the second branch, this time
with his son, Harmik Sarkissian.
In 1984, Khoren passed away, leaving behind his legacy as a kind, humorous
and prompt gentleman. His explicit attention to details and his love for
people will be cherished forever.
I'll send the rest as soon as I have them ready.

Please remember a website is the business card of your work. The first
impression of what you stand for. It has to be perfect. I'll help you as
much as I can.

Vahag Aghakian

Vahag has been a videographer and editor in “Studio Ani” since 2006. He has
a unique ability to create outstanding steady shots with the camera on his
shoulder while panning or tilting. His edited music videos are quite unique.
Vahag was the first in “Studio Ani” family to switch editing from PC to Mac.
You can see him work on a project for hours and rarely hear him speak. his
nickname “Dr. Vahag Pepper” comes from his love of Dr. Pepper products. Few
people in the history of Studio had the ability to finish long 3 or 2 camera
edits on Adobe Premiere version 6.5 with all those bugs as calm as Vahag
could. While the rest would cry after each crash, Vahag would calmly restart
the computer and continue.
Besides editing video footage, Vahag is very good at making short films.

He is also an expert of EA Sports FIFA games. There are not many people who
can win him over in this field.

George Khachaturian

One of the most experienced photographers of “Studio Ani”. He is the master
of colors. Coming from the age of analogue, George K. has cooperated with
internationally famous Iranian-Armenian photographer Nikol Faridani. Later
on, he continued his work with a long term contract of shooting Persian rugs
and carpets which demanded his exceptional understanding of color concept.

George K., with a unique sense of humor, has become a favorite wedding
photographer. Currently, he is the supervisor of Tehran’s “Studio Ani”. He’s
not a coffee enthusiast, but wouldn’t refuse to have one if you force him
to!
George used to be a Canonist until 2009 when he got the new Nikon D200.
According to him, for as long as he remembers, there was a camera in his
hand. It’s impossible to see George upset, angry or out of control. He is an
experienced photographer who can bring out the best portraits of a person.
George knows how to play with lights on his subject. You can sit still in
his studio during a photo session and wonder why he is not changing my
position in so many shots? but when you see the results you understand that
each shot has been taken with a different lightning and fixtures and they
are all different.
Besides shooting commercials and event photography, George has a taste for
art and we will soon enrich the page with some of his artistic experiments
in the “artistic photos” chapter.
