George Sarvarian

George is the co-founder and the master mind of “Photo Ani”. After the loss
of his beloved father-in-law, he was determined to push the success of the
business to a new level. During his supervision, “Photo Ani” expanded its
services as well as branches to 3 locations one of which was located in
Tehran’s northern part, inside Hilton Hotel.

George established the first 24 hours photo printing laboratory in Tehran.
Back then it would take 3 to 4 days to process and print color photo prints.

George added filming and photography of events. He was in charge of almost
everything starting from taking photos and filming to managing the store to
designing advertisement material for the business himself. His vision was
always advanced, ideas fresh. George is gifted with the ability of making it
happen: bringing dreams to reality. Therefore this is a success story which
led to the opening of “Studio Ani” as phase II of this family business.

George brought in many innovations while shooting videos in the age of
betamax. He was the first who came up with the idea of making love stories
in the beginning of event videos.
he also brought in the idea of printing a large photo at the same day of the
wedding as a gift for the newlyweds. This happened at a time when a 35mm
film would take 3 to 4 days to be processed and printed.

Before immigration to US, George was in charge of the coverage of a lot of
seminars, cultural events and industrial projects in Tehran. His favorite
photo camera was Canon A1, his favorite lens was a 70-200 Tamron and he
cared so much for his National F-70 video with those clean inserts.

In year 2000 George immigrated to United States and soon he established the
first branch of the Studio in Los Angeles, California. George has been the
most important and efficient figure in the history of “Studio Ani”.

George can’t work without coffee. His favorite part of the day is the coffee
time around noon and as you will see that’s a contagious sickness among the
“Studio Ani” People.
